Busy Busy Busy

So I’m pretty sure I got the job. Yaaay. I went in for a second interview, then they called me and want me to go take the tests. Computer, writing, math, cash handling, stuff like that. I’m pretty excited too. I’m not exactly thrilled to be working in the collections department but it will do for now, anything to further my experience and get me out of the job that I’m at now.

So I’ve been talking to my cousin a lot lately and it’s funny because we talk about all the stupid little things that we did when we were little. We used to make our own candy (it was really nasty) we’d like mash up everything we had left from halloween. Sweet tarts, snickers, almond joys, jolly ranchers, whatever we could find. We’d throw like sugar in there, it was so awful! Being a kid was fun though, we would even try and sell lemonade and charge people tax but we couldn’t figure out how much it was!! We tried to make up our own language and talk to eachother on the phone with it so our parents wouldn’t know what we were talking about. Good times, I miss that…

I added plugs because there were so many people commenting and I didn’t know how to thank you all. I’m open for link exchanges and all that good stuff.

Just not enough

{{popup 03172006.jpg 03172006 596×397}}03172006 (181k image)I’ve been back for almost a week now and I haven’t posted anything! What’s wrong with me! I’ve been very busy. A lot of times I will post while I’m at work, but I haven’t had a chance to do that either, too busy. I’m looking for a new job, I think I’ve realized though that I may not get paid a whole lot more anywhere else. I thought I would but I had an interview at the bank yesterday and I’m not so sure they’re going to start me off at what I want. BLAH but I’m pretty sure I aced the interview. I think I’m going to continue looking around though.

The picture is of some of my family, my Grandmas birthday was this week so we got together to celebrate it. I posted all of the pictures from my trip in the gallery there are a ton, I got them all printed out too. Oh and some more pictures, and pictures of my tattoo in my Moblog

Bahama Mama

I’m back in Floriday at the hotel and I am so happy about that because the bed in this hotel is the most comfortable bed ever. I have the say the cruise was just about amazing. The food was the best I’ve ever had and the service was amazing. Everyone was so nice and pleasant and I was really not used to that and I was suprised. I’m happy to be back on land though. I was kind of suprised when we went to the Bahamas though, we went to Nassau and our tour guide said 90% of the people are in poverty and I believed it because a lot of stuff there was so run down. I learned a lot about it though. I’m sunburned REALLY bad though. I burn everytime I go in the sun, that’s why I hate it. Amazingly I didn’t get any burn on my face (probably because of my makeup having spf) but everywhere else except my stomach is nice and toasty. Well here are some pictures so far.

I don’t want the vacation to end but I am ready to get home. I get homesick. I’ve spent the better half of this morning commenting people so if I was supposed to comment you over the week I’m sorry, I couldn’t check my e-mail on the ship. I’m commenting everyone today and tomorrow.

I’m not sure what the plans for today are but I really want to go to Universal Studios, my Mom isn’t so sure. I don’t know if I want to spend all day in the sun though. I’m already crispy!!! haha I hope everyone has a good weekend.

Good morning Florida!

Okay so everyone was right and I made it here safely. The plane was really scary and there was a lot of turbulence at times but it was a pretty easy ride. I was supprised at how fast it was. I’d say so far it’s been ‘okay’ I had an awful birthday party and was called fat (I won’t even go there) but I got to see Sammy and Nick and Jamie too before I left which made me feel better about the plane. I get here and first thing my Mom and I are like at eachothers throats. It’s better now but I knew it would happen. Hopefully we can make it through the rest of the week without killing eachother. Regardless, here are my favoritie pictures so far. They pop-up in new windows.

The plane was a lot smaller than I thought it would be, it was tiny in fact. Only six seats all the way across and we happened to be sitting right on the wing which was interesting. I enjoyed the TV though, and I actually slept through most of the flight. The helicopter ride was so amazing, I loved every second of it. There are two major differences between here and Vegas, first Vegas is of course a desert and it’s really ugly and all dirt, here there are trees as far as the eye can see. The other thing is Vegas is in a valley and you can see all the way across it and lots of mountains, whereas here there aren’t any mountains. You can see forever, t’s really crazy.

It is kind of funny to me how when you have a birthday you begin to think no one really cares about you if they don’t call or come over to celebrate. So I just wanted to say I appreciate everyone on MySpace and here the commented to tell me Happy Birthday and of course everyone who called. It made me feel very special and everyone that told me to have a good flight, Thank you so much.

So I’m not 100% positive if they will have internet in the staterooms on the cruise ship, I know they have the internet but I’m not sure if it’s in the rooms. So I’ll probably just be checking my e-mail and MySpace and I’ll post again on Friday when we’re back to the hotel. :) xoxo

The Quiet Things

{{popup hp.jpg hp 429×500}}I am so excited for the latest Harry Potter movie to come out on DVD. I’m going to be in the Bahamas but on Monday I’m going over to Jamies so we can watch. Yaaay. I know I’ve already seen it about four times but now I can watch it all I want. I made Jamie watch 1-3 and now she’s excited for the next one because she hasn’t seen it.

It hardly ever rains here in Vegas, I mean it is a desert but when it does, it becomes BIG news. So yesterday, it rained a tiny litle bit but the wind was really bad. Well apparently the rain knocked out power to quiet a few blocks of main street. There were no street lights or power to any of the businesses or homes. Needless to say, I was stuck in traffic for an hour yesterday because of the lights. Last time that happened I was driving at night on a street I don’t normally drive down and I couldn’t see anything LOL I was slamming on my brakes because I couldn’t see the street or the lights. Regardless, I hate traffic but I love the rain.

{{popup 03012006.jpg hp 266×400}}I did post pictures of the ‘Whiskey Flats’ weekend in the gallery but I thought I’d share my favorite scenery pic. I’m an early bird and I got up early and took a walk by myself and I found this really nice place right along the river. I just had to take a picture of it.

I’m actually at work and I have nothing better to do with my time right now that write this. We have no paper and I’m waiting for the managers to get back with some so I can actually “work.” Must be nice right? Not really when I’m going on vacation in three days, and I need to get everything done so this office isn’t a complete disaster when I get back. We’ll see how that goes…
